CBCT Implant Planning & Guided Surgery (=Module 5 CBCT) in ENGLISH (NL + FR)
Friday, 23 Jan 2026
09:00 – 17:00
COURSE IN ENGLISH (with FR and NL support during EXERCISES)
The introduction of low-dose 3D CBCT imaging in dentistry has dramatically changed pre-implant diagnostics and planning. The many advantages of 3D imaging in implant planning are becoming more acceptable with this technology, given its low dose and excellent resolution. However, careful attention must be paid to the manipulation and interpretation of these images before proceeding to final planning. In addition to knowledge of three-dimensional anatomy and the manipulation of these images, this course takes a closer look at transferring 3D implant planning to the surgical field using guided implant surgery.
The aim of this workshop is to familiarize you with Cone Beam CT applications in implantology and its use in Guided Surgery, through hands-on exercises :
- Pre-implant diagnosis: 2D vs 3D imaging methods
- 3D image analysis in implantology and software exercises
- Indications for guided surgery and possible pitfalls
- Hands-on exercises CBCT: de partially edentulous patient & optical scan fusion
- Calibration-exercises for guided surgery
- Types Guided Surgery + planning partially edentulous patient
- Hands-on on phantoms: pilot-drilling vs fully guided
